Meet Our Team of Instructors

  • Ashley : Founder & Owner

Ashley is the founder and Owner of Black Prana Magazine and Black Prana Yoga & Dance. She has been teaching yoga for 10 years and loves sharing her signature Hip Hop yoga class. This upbeat power yoga class challenges you to twerk while in your downward dog all while building strength and flexibility.

  • Joyce : Studio Manager & Slow Flow Teacher

Joyce teaches yoga, makes things with her hands, and grows more plants than she probably needs. She spends a lot of time thinking about what helps us feel a little more like ourselves. She believes breathing is underrated, that you don't need to be "good" at yoga to practice movement, and that if you're not flexible, that's a reason to practice, not a reason to stay away. Her classes, Breathe With Joyce, make room for all of it. You don't have to be flexible, experienced, or have anything figured out. Come as you are. That's enough.

  • Hope : Restorative & Flow Teacher

Hope Farmby, E-RYT 200 YACEP,  500 YTT and LMU Yoga Therapy graduate. My goal is to introduce people of color, injured and elderly to the self care practice of yoga in a welcoming and safe space.

  • Neidara : Slow Flow Teacher

Neidara Mathias builds intentional, soul-nourishing spaces for movement across the Tampa Bay Area and beyond, including the retreats she leads overseas. Her approach centers on nervous system regulation, helping students quiet the outside noise and connect deeply with their breath and body. In her classes, you're invited to slow down, tune in, and leave feeling more grounded than when you arrived.

  • Mya Cato : Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Power, Aqua and Partner Yoga, Yoga Nidra, pranayama, and sound healing teacher.

Mya Cato is an internationally recognized wellness strategist, yoga and meditation teacher, and sound healing practitioner with more than a decade in the wellness industry. After burning out from chronic overwork in her early twenties, she turned to yoga and meditation to recover, and in 2014, learning of three generations of breast cancer in her family, she committed to a life rooted in preventive care and nervous system regulation. Today she brings a trauma-aware approach to Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Power, Aqua and Partner Yoga, Yoga Nidra, pranayama, and sound healing, helping students and brands worldwide manage stress and prevent burnout.
